Rev. Derek Elmi-Buursma
Pastor Derek is a graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary and has been serving as the Pastor of Loop Church since January 2019. Derek has been living-in and loving-on Chicago since 2015 when he and partner Deqa moved to the city from Accra, Ghana to attend seminary. Together they live in Hyde Park with their little girl and enjoy going spending time by the Lake as a family.

Rev. Dr. Anita Crittenden
Anita is an ordained minister in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. She graduated from the Doctor of Ministry Program at McCormick in 2020. Her thesis “Getting to The Beloved Community Amidst Gun Violence andGrief,” reflected on the church’s role in creating communal healing spaces. In 2020 she establishedPandemic Prayer, a weekly online community of women interceding for our world.
